I did it!

Yes, I did it. I am the master of re-evaluating space. Yes, I have a talent to play Tetris in real life. Adam always says it won’t fit. I tell him give me some time and I will make it fit. This happens with closets, packing for trips and the freezer. And so it happened with our garage. I told him I could get the car, 2 bikes and a scooter with all our other junk in the garage. He told me it would not happen. I had to prove him wrong. Like I said I am the master of re-evaluating spaces. It took us all summer to prepare for this great event of housing at least one vehicle, two bikes and a scooter in the garage this winter. We spend many Saturdays de-cluttering our lives. Many trips to goodwill with stuff that has sat in boxes since we left North Carolina almost 6 years ago. As with all our stuff you have that moment of attachment for an item you have not needed, seen or used in a decade. Come on, you know what I am talking about. We had many of those moments, but in the end we did get rid of a lot of stuff. I have to say there is something rewarding about de-cluttering our lives.

Simplify! It is hard and I still find myself wanting to hold onto stuff like a soccer shirt I wore when I was five years old for a couple of years for the Grasshoppers. I loved that team and loved that shirt. I have all the patches that we won sewn to the shirt. This is one of those items even though it is packed away in memories I can't seem to let it go. So there you have it. We can only simplify those things that don't have the deep connection to. I will think more clearly about the items I want to purchase in the future and how usable will it be in my home or will it be a trinket that I will have to dust that just looks good?

So my sister said to me. I will believe it when I see it. So Sis here you go. Take a look at my garage. Yeah baby it all fits. Once again, what am I? Yeah baby the Master of Re-Evaluating Space!
